At GB Building Solutions we are committed to sound management practices that mitigate the effect our works have on the environment. 

By continuing to develop, promote and implement our ISO14001 accredited Environmental Management System we aim to minimise environmental pollution, reduce waste and encourage recycling, and promote natural resource and biodiversity enhancement. 

We have developed a set of meaningful performance indicators to measure our environmental performance and promote best practice across the business.

In 2009 we are pleased to report that we:

• Have achieved our 2008/2009 target of 0 major environmental incidents
• We are now using SMARTWaste Plan to comply with new regulations
• Our waste recycling rate continues to improve currently over 85%
